The Think Sun Preschool Summer Camps

This is a FUN activity program with lots of messy art, music and lots of movement packed into each session. While a wee bit of learning sneaks in now and then, there will be little formalized instruction.

These camps are loads of fun for Mrs. Khallad…she gets to play! Depending on the nature of the group, activities will be modified to suit the children’s wishes and needs.

We will be accepting a maximum of 15 campers. Mrs. Khallad and an assistant will be running the camps.

MONDAY SUNSHINE DAY

Welcome to the first day of camp. Today we make sunshine pictures and get to know each other with lots of playtime in the playroom.

TUESDAY BUG DAY

Today we explore the world of bugs. We are going to make a house for bugs and create our very own bugs to live in them! We are also going to make beautiful butterflies.

WEDNESDAY NATURE DAY

Today we create our very own nature sculpture with the marvelous medium called GOOP!

THURSDAY DINOSAUR DAY

Today is dinosaur day and we‘ll be digging for fossils, going on a dinosaur hunt and playing with the dinosaurs. Wear your Tee-rific dinosaur shirts and bring your favourite dinosaur today.

FRIDAY ROYALTY DAY

Calling all kings, queens, princesses and princes as well as magicians and fairies! We‘ll be playing in the castle, making magic wands and special crowns today.

All campers must have turned 3 years old and must be toilet trained.

Preschool Preview Days

Great Ice Breaker For Your Little One!

If your child is just joining Think Sun, or you'd like to give us a try, this is the perfect opportunity to get your children ready for preschool! It is a three day introduction to preschool and will give your child that extra confidence and time to familiarize him/herself with our preschool and activities. It’s also great for returning students to “get back in the groove” in preparation for the coming year.

MONDAY GETTING TO KNOW YOU

Welcome to Think Sun! We are going to have fun today as we get to know each other and try new activities.

TUESDAY PAINTING DAY

Let’s create a masterpiece together. We’ll learn about paint, holding a brush and colour too!

WEDNESDAY MUSIC DAY

Do you like drumming? What about singing and dancing? Let’s find out today as we explore the music room.

All campers must have turned 3 years old and must be toilet trained.

Items Needed for all Camp Programs

Snack

Please send a mid-morning snack in a LABELLED bag. No Peanuts, Nuts of any sort are permitted in the school.
Clothing

Please dress your child in clothes that are comfortable and easily washed (we get pretty messy). No crocs or flip flops, but sandals that are securely attached to little feet are fine. Runners are preferred, but not mandatory.
Time

Morning Camp 9:00 am - 11:30 am
Fees

$190.00/ 5 Day CAMP for each child registered,
or $90.00/day per child, space permitting.
$130.00 for the Preschool Preview Days. Full week registrations are given priority.

Early drop off option 7:30-9:00 $60.00 or $15/day

Please note that we cannot “hold” a space for the August camp, unless you register. However, do call during the summer if you suddenly find time hanging heavily for your youngster. There might be space available.

Withdraws

There is no refund for absences or partial attendance. You may withdraw up to June 1 for June camps or August 1 for August camp OR Preschool Preview Days with a $90.00 penalty.
Waiting List

If the camp is full, you may place your child on the waiting list. There may be withdrawals and spaces will be offered to the waiting list.

Promoting Independence in Children

Assign a chore. Putting your preschooler in charge of a regular, simple task will build her confidence and sense of competency.. A child who is entrusted to water the plants or empty the clothes dryer is likely to believe she can also get dressed herself or pour her own cereal. Just be sure the chore you assign is manageable and that it's real work, not busywork, since even preschoolers know the difference. The goal is to make your child feel like a capable, contributing member of the family.
